What is a special occasion pouch?
These green fair trade handmade pouches are designed for those occasions when you only need the bare essentials such as a card key, identification and credit card/cash. Use them when you want to go hands free or don’t want to ruin your look with straps or waist packs. Also, our magnetic pouches won’t conflict with your jewelry like neck bags.

How much weight can a Joey carry?
While the magnets are quite powerful, excessive weight may cause detachment. Use your Joey when you just need the basic necessities: hotel or house key or card; identification; some mad money. Do not overload.
How do I detach the magnet?
Twist the magnet back for easy removal.
To what type of materials can the Joey be attached?
Joeys can be used with any light to medium material or clothing with straps (summer wear, swimsuits, party dresses, light sweaters, etc). We invite you to experiment with your Joeys and try them on all of your clothing. Not for use with heavy materials.
How do I test the magnet strength on my clothes?
O.K., we’ll admit it . . . our quality control staff has the most fun. To test magnet strength on clothes, dance or jump up and down.
Will the magnets erase the code in credit cards and key cards?
No, the magnets are not strong enough to erase encrypted information.
How safe are the pouches?
Like any purse, the Joey can be lost, stolen or misplaced; avoid wearing your Joey in large crowds to avoid accidental detachment or move it up higher near the shoulder or inside your clothes for safety. Having said that, because of the magnet strength and the fact that it is close to the body, you are less likely to drop or misplace it and there are no straps to be cut making theft less likely. Because they are so decorative and stylish, once the Joey is attached, most people do not even realize it’s a purse. However, bear in mind that this is a new and different product and it may take a few times until you are comfortable with the security of the magnet and being hands free.
Why is there a delay in shipping?
Because all of our Joeys are handmade there may be a delay in delivery due to supply. Some Joeys have very intricate beading or threadwork and our fair trade artisans are working as quickly as they can without sacrificing quality of the product or family time. Remember all good things come to those who wait and we’re sure you will agree once your Joey arrives and the two of you become attached to each other.
What if I lose the magnet back?
Additional magnet backs can be ordered at the time of purchase or at any time in the future.
